Our office uses technology to support the treatment of healthy smiles. Our dentists use digital x-rays, dental laser treatment, CEREC and CBCT technology for patients.
CEREC Technology
Our CEREC machine allows us to create a ceramic crown or filling in a single visit. A digital model of your teeth will be taken. Then, the restoration is designed on the computer, and the missing tooth structure is milled by the machine.
CBCT Technology
CBCT Technology allows us to take 3D images of your smile. This technology may be used if you are getting implants, have an impacted tooth, or are receiving orthodontic treatment.
CBCT For Dentists
Our office installed CBCT Orthophos SL 3D equipment. The addition of this technology allows us to provide you with:
- A full report returned in five working days (current wait from Canaray is six to eight weeks)
- Implant surgical guides planned based on final restoration planning (prosthetically driven)
- Single implant guides manufactured in house by CEREC within three working days
- Multiple implant guides planned and forwarded to Sicat for fabrication
Digital X-Rays
X-rays are an important part of dental diagnosis and treatment. Without the use of x-rays you may have some issues that go undetected. Current equipment and techniques provide effective diagnostics at low levels of radiation exposure.
Digital x-rays are used at our office instead of traditional film. This gives our dentist a full overview of your smile. We can save them electronically as records and are able to share with your insurance companies if needed.
Laser Treatment
Our practice uses Waterlase, a type of treatment that uses water, air and laser energy instead of drills.
WaterLase may be a technology used at your appointment if you are:
- Scared of drills
- Scared of needles
- Cannot use anesthetic
- Have a cavity
